About us

One van, Rutherford, March 2009

Ken Aldaya spent eleven years spraying things for somebody else and got tired of spraying things that did not need spraying. So he bought a 1998 Astro van and started over.

Work truck parked in a suburban driveway at golden hour

He printed 500 door hangers and worked Rutherford and Lyndhurst alone for three years. The rule from week one was that the tech tells you the truth even when the truth costs us the job. If your problem is a gutter, we say gutter. That is still the rule, and it is why only 3 in 100 of our visits need a do-over.

Chemicals last, not first

Find the water. Close the hole. Clean up the mess that is feeding them. Then, if anything is left, treat it with the mildest thing that will work. It takes longer on day one and costs you less over three years, which is the whole trick.

Around town

Every crew does free mouse-proofing for two senior centers a year, and we run the tick table at the Morristown and Huntington farmers markets in May. Come say hi, we have stickers.

How we got here

  1. 2009

Ken buys a used van and a sprayer and works Rutherford and Lyndhurst by himself.

  2. 2012

First hire. First termite job. First realtor who still sends us work fourteen years later.

  3. 2015

Montclair opens with its own owner. That winter we write down how a branch should run.

  4. 2018

Cherry Hill and Princeton open. The clipboard finally goes in the recycling.

  5. 2021

New Rochelle and Huntington open. Mosquitoes get their own truck route.

  6. 2024

Nine crews, 47 techs, 12,400 houses on a plan.

Free inspection. We will tell you what is going on even if the answer is nothing.
