Mosquito & Tick Program
Mosquitoes do not come from the neighbor's pond. They come from the eight ounces of water in your gutter elbow, the tarp over the woodpile, and the saucer under the potted fig.
Have someone come look
Why it is happening
Aedes albopictus flies about 200 yards its whole life and breeds in containers. Blacklegged ticks quest at the leaf line, which is why the treatment is a barrier along the woods edge, not a lawn spray.
What we actually do
- 01Backpack mist to the underside of foliage from 0–8 ft, where adults rest during the day.
- 02Larvicide briquettes in catch basins and any standing water we cannot drain.
- 03In2Care stations for autodissemination in dense container-breeding yards.
- 04Tick barrier granular along the woods line and stone walls.
Do this before we get there
- Pick up dog toys and children's toys.
- Cover fish ponds; we treat around them, never into them.
- Stay off treated turf 30 minutes until dry.
It comes back, we come back. No charge, no argument.
