Why it is happening
Bed Bug. Cimex lectularius survives months without a meal and eggs are glued into seams. Heat kills all life stages at 122°F held at the coldest point, which is why we probe with sensors instead of guessing.
What we actually do
- 01Whole-room heat to 135°F ambient with sensors in the coldest voids, held 3 hours.
- 02Residual dust in wall voids and outlet boxes after heat.
- 03Mattress and box spring encasements, left on 12 months.
- 04Follow-up visual inspection at 14 and 30 days.
Do this before we get there
- Remove all pets, plants, aerosols and candles.
- Bag nothing — bagging spreads them.
- Launder and dry on high only what we mark.
